Monica Navarro attended multiple Board of Director meetings and Planning Sessions with the Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan, Southwest Counseling Solutions, the Health Law Section of the Michigan Bar, the ABA's The Health Lawyer Editorial Board, and the Publications Committee of the ABA's Health Law Section.
Monica Navarro facilitated and attended a joint program on The Role of Social Media in Federal Litigation that brought together the State Bar Cooley Auburn Hills Student Chapter, the Cooley Federal Bar Auburn Hills Student Chapter, and the Federal Bar of the Eastern District of Michigan. Numerous distinguished practitioners attended the program, including Federal Magistrate Judge Laurie Michelson of the Eastern District of Michigan.
Monica Navarro was appointed a faculty member and organizing committee member for a State-wide Health Care Forum sponsored by Oakland University.
Monica Navarro published a law review article in the University of Memphis Law Review, Materiality: A Needed Return to Basics in False Claims Act Liability.
Monica Navarro was a speaker for the Oakland County Bar Association ABC’s of Practice Program, which is a series that educates new lawyers on career options.
Monica Navarro hosted, along with the Cooley Auburn Hills Health Law Society, a program on Drug Diversion in the Healthcare Professions at the Cooley Auburn Hills campus.
Monica Navarro attended the ABA’s Health Law Section 14th Annual Conference on Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law.
Monica Navarro, in conjunction with TAFEF-Education Fund, a non-profit watchdog and research institution which polices fraud and abuse on government programs, contributed comments to the Rules Committee of Federal Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to proposed amendments to discovery rules.
